MEC – Mobile Emergency Call
Every year, there are millions of traffic accidents around the world that require medical assistance. Between 60 and 70% of deceased died between the first and the second hour after the accident, the “golden hour” for the emergency services. A good and quick medical assistance in that hour could save more than 2.500 lives only in Europe and reduce injuries between 10 and 15%.
That was the motivation for the MEC application: An innovative application that has been designed to detect traffic crash and automatically send emergency call by email, SMS and voice call with voice locution.
It has three detection profiles, for:
•4 wheels vehicles
•Motorcycles
•Bikes
Each profile has been programmed taking into account the particular dynamics and the way of driving of each vehicle as well as the place where the phone is located.
If the application detects a crash, it starts a countdown that the user, can cancel at any time if he is conscious and wants to. If this countdown is not cancelled, MEC will send SOS messages accordingly to the settings defined by the user. These SOS messages include the GPS position of the vehicle and other interesting data for the emergency services.
If you observe an accident or if you just want to easily share your location, you can also send a manually triggered alert.

Are you going to ride your motorcycle alone? Are you going to ride your bike downhill with no one else? Are you going to drive your car late at night? Let MEC be with you and send an alarm if anything goes wrong!
Anyway… we hope you never have to check how well this application works!

NOTE: Crash detection algorithms for each profile have been tested in safely and controlled environment. Please, do not try to prove how it works. This could cause unnecessary risky situations.
